The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Sunnyview Baptist Church with Pastor Shaun Trescott and Brother Garner Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Sunnyview Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 10:00 a.m. until the service Wednesday at the church.
Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Atkins was born August 5, 1920 in Montgomery County, daughter of Chilton Lucious and Docia Sarah Francis Evans Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Atkins.
She was a homemaker and member of Sunnyview Baptist Church.
Mrs. Atkins is survived by four daughters, Wanda Byard; Barbara (Joe) Huff; Molly Patterson all of Clarksville and Rebecca (Johnny) Shepherd of Nicholasville, KY. Other survivors include her sister Louise Johnson, Clarksville; twenty one grandchildren; forty nine great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
