Mrs. Helen Marie Stanley, age 96 passed on March 17, 1997 at DeBoer Nursing Home. The former Helen Marie Rosecrans was the youngest of ten children. She was born March 6, 1901 in Muskegon and lived here all of her life. She married Merrill D. Stanley in 1919. Mr. Stanley was Executive Vice President of Muskegon Piston Ring Co. when he died in 1967. Although Mrs. Stanley had no children of her own, she raised a nephew, Daniel Dare, who was killed serving during World War II. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Until recently she resided in Lakeshore House Apartments where she had many friends.
Survivors: She will be sadly missed by her relatives, Bob & Georgia Tuxbury, Leon & Virginia Smith, Eugene & Ann Dare, Delores Kieffer, Mary Alice Goesel, Nancy Timmer & Marcella Averill.
Service at the Clock Chapel and interment at Oakwood Cemetery.
