Scott A. DeVine, 19, W. Third St., Gray, died Jan. 23, 2000, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown, as a result of an auto accident. Born Sept. 2, 1980 in Johnstown, son of Donald "Ernie" and Karen (Montgomery) DeVine. Preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Donald DeVine, uncle Jeffrey Montgomery, and cousin, Austin Montgomery. Survived by parents, sister, Amanda, and brother, Adam, all at home, and Cory Montgomery, Somerset; maternal grandparents, Robert and Gwen Montgomery, Gray; paternal grandmother, Esther DeVine, Somerset; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, and special kids, Brennan, Jared and Jillian Noble. Member of Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ, near Gray and Company C Pa. Army National Guard, Somerset. A 1999 graduate of North Star High School. Avid hunter and outdoorsman and enjoyed playing baseball. Friends received from 7-9 p.m., Monday, and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday. Rev. Joseph M. Beer officiating. Interment, Sipesville Cemetery. Graveside military rite in charge of Company C National Guard.
