He was born February 16, 1951 to Philip and Patricia Powell.

Dean enjoyed riding Harley Davidsons, listening to Reba McIntire and Janice Joplin music. He loved spending time with family and friends and he had a great since of humor that would occasionally would raise a brow.

Dean worked for Columbia House for several years prior becoming ill.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Paula Milner.

Survivors include his children: Deana, Tommy, and Philip C. Powell; a sister Penny Batchelor and husband Danny of Staunton; seven grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.


Funeral Information
Services for Dean will be at French Funeral Home, Saturday May 24, 2008 at 1:00pm with Pastor Daniel Snyder officiating. Burial will follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday from 11:00am until time of services. Visit www.frenchfuneralhome.com to light a candle in his memory
