Dean enjoyed riding Harley Davidsons, listening to Reba McIntire and Janice Joplin music. He loved spending time with family and friends and he had a great since of humor that would occasionally would raise a brow.
Dean worked for Columbia House for several years prior becoming ill.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Paula Milner.
Survivors include his children: Deana, Tommy, and Philip C. Powell; a sister Penny Batchelor and husband Danny of Staunton; seven grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Services for Dean will be at French Funeral Home, Saturday May 24, 2008 at 1:00pm with Pastor Daniel Snyder officiating. Burial will follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery.
