Dorothy Marie Carter, 76, of Flagstaff was granted her angel wings March 14, 2012. Her final days were surrounded by family and friends that Dorothy had touch in so many ways throughout her memorable life.
She was born February 13, 1936 in Marquette, Michigan and was the second oldest of 9 children. She moved to Flagstaff, Arizona and met the love of her life Fred Carter, Jr. they were married for 29 years. Fred Carter preceded her in death May 31, 1999.
She is survived by six children; Three daughters Sherry Gowan, Julie, And Anna all residing in Flagstaff, AZ; three sons Mike of California, Steve and David both of Flagstaff, AZ also, survived by 4 grandsons William, Steven, Adam and Ryan; Granddaughter Paige and 2 great-grandsons William and John.
Her family was her greatest joy of all. Her other interests included; sewing, gardening, wood cutting, casual trip to the casino.
At her request no services will be held. She will be laid to rest next to her dear husband at Citizens Cemetery.
