"Frank Warner Abbott drove the stage from Case Post Office to Tully from July 1901 until March 1905 (the contract having been awarded to his father shortly before his death in February 1901). He then moved from home to Tully, where he was employed in an Undertaking Establishment. In the spring of 1906 he moved from Tully to his wife's stepfather's farm at the foot of the hill leading from Five Corners. In 1907 he moved to his grandfather King's farm in Chase Valley, which he later purchased. In 1926 he moved to the village of South Onondaga after selling the farm to his son, Carl Albert Abbott."

Services for Frank W. Abbott, 79, a resident of South Onondaga for 50 years, who died yesterday (Sept 17, 1956) at his home, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Norris Funeral Home, Marcellus.
The Rev. Richard Tillapaugh will officiate. Burial will be in South Onondaga Cemetery.
Born in Maple Grove, Otisco, the son of the late Albert A. (Addison) and Sarah King Abbott. Mr. Abbott had operated a farm on Tanner Rd., South Onondaga, for 20 years.
He was a member of the South Onondaga Methodist Church and had served as church sexton for 15 years.
Surviving are a daughter, Miss Genevieve Abbott; two sons, Melvin K. and Raymond O. Abbott; Three brothers, Ethelbert of Cedarvale, Leon A. of Fairmount, and Howard B. Abbott of Cortland; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
