Son of Richard T. Sr. & Joyce (Clauser) Bowers and husband of Carol E. Bowers. They had 3 children, Michael, Steven and Tracy. He was a designer and draftsman for Mack Trucks Inc., Allentown, for 17 years. He was also active as a coach and umpire in the Southern Lehigh Little League program and in the 1960's he was a member of a local band called The Centaurs.
