VIRGINIA BEACH - Camille Victoria Klein, 83, passed away Dec. 5, 2008. Born in Panama City, Panama, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Rebecca Nessim. Camille graduated from LaFayette High School in Brooklyn, N.Y. Prior to her marriage to her late husband, she worked in retail sales at Lord & Taylor in New York City. For many years she was very active with JCC, The United Way and various charitable organizations. Camille was a longtime member of Rodef Sholom Temple in Hampton.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Joseph "Seth" Klein of Norfolk; two stepchildren, Dr. Stephen Klein and his wife Marie of Starkville, Miss and Michael Shiller of Williamsburg; five step-grandchildren; three sisters, Gloria Bendror and her husband Jack of Port Washington, N.Y., Blanche Navon and her husband Herman of Manhasset, N.Y., and Evelyn Regan and her husband Peter of Syosset, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Clarence "Chuck" Klein and two sisters, Dora and Rose Nessim.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today in B'Nai Israel Cemetery in Norfolk with Rabbi Michael Panitz officiating. The family will receive condolence calls at Temple Israel and worship service at 5:30 p.m. every evening through Thursday. Condolences may also be offered to the family at www.altmeyer.com.
