Born at Des Moines, Iowa, Sept. 20, 1902, Mr. Hanley, a field data man with Northwest Natural Gas Co., died at a local hospital Monday. He was a member of Portland Eagles Aerie No. 4, Chemical Workers Union No. 133, and Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include the widow, Edith L.; sons, Dr. Norman W. Hanley, Richard J., Laurence E., Robert A., Gilbert J., Donald D., all of Portland, Gerald E. of Sweet Home, and Roger E. of Hawaii; daughters, Phyllis Harmel, Shirley A., Donna E., Joan G. all of Portland, and Anita L. Harmon of Las Vegas; brothers, Norman S. of Portland, Harold of Bend, John of St. Paul, Minn.; and William of Minneapolis; sisters Juanita Hanley of Montana, June Lottridge of Rochester, N.Y., Wanda Peterson, Norma bohnsack and Helen Larson, all of Minnesota, the mother Mrs. Helen Hanley of Portland; 29 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
