Columbia, SC - Susan Kay Parker Baker, age 65, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Providence Hospital in Columbia, SC after an extended illness. She was a native of Tattnall County residing the past 36 years in Columbia.
She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer O. and Essel Griffin Parker.
She is survived by her husband of thirty-seven years: Homer Baker of Columbia, SC; one sister, Elizabeth P. Griffin of Hardy, VA; nine nieces and nephews and eleven great-nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 2 pm from the Jones Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Julian Ward officiating. Interment will follow in the Jones Creek Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.
