Obituary: CALVIN FREDRICK ENGEMAN. Little Calvin Fredrick Engeman, the youngest son of Charles F. Engeman of Cummings, Kansas passed in the Arms of Jesus at the family home at 10 A.M. December 5th. He was born March 13, 1929 near Atchison and died at the age of 2 years, eight months and twenty-three days. His mother preceded him in death in February 1931.
He was a sweet and loving child and loved by everyone that knew him. He is survived by his father and one brother, Francis LeRoy at home and both grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Engeman, with whom he lived, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Newton of Wathena and a host of other relatives.
The funeral was held at the Meierhoffer Funeral Home at 1 P.M. in Wathena December 7th. Rev. F.C. Carter, paster of the First Baptist church of Wathena officiating.(Src: The Wathena Times, December 11, 1931.)
