Obituary: JOHN F. ENGEMANN. John Franklin "Frank" Engemann, 77, Troy, died Thursday, March 16, 2000, at his home.
Services will be 2 P.M. Sunday at the United Methodist Church of in Troy.
Obituary: Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery, Troy. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 P.M. today Harman-Rohde Funeral Home, Troy. Memorials are suggested to Hands of Hope Hospice or Troy Ambulance Fund.
Mr. Engemann was part owner of Engemann Construction Company of Troy, along with his son, Roger, from 1973 until his retirement in 1988.
He was born Jan. 19, 1923, in Wathena, the son of William H. and Minnie Rapp Engemann. He was a lifelong resident of Troy.
Mr. Engemann was a member of the United Methodist Church in Troy, where he served many years on the board of trustees.
He married Esther Weber on Aug. 17, 1946, in Troy. She survives of the home. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Walter, Emmett and Wilbur Engemann; and a sister, Freida Reinert.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Karen Pickerell, Valley Falls, and Beverly Franken, Bendena; a brother, Milton Engemann, Wathena; two sisters, Mary Ramsel and Dorothy Schuman, Wathena; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. (Src: The Atchison Daily Globe, April 18, 2000.)
