Obituary: Charles Louis Engeman, four-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Engeman, Sr., who live on the farm of Dr. B. B. Fast near Cummings, died suddenly at 7:20 o'clock last evening at the Atchison hospital when an embolus, or clot in his blood stream, entered the lungs following the removal of his tonsils yesterday morning.
The child was born here on September 27, 1933.
Surviving are his parents; two brothers, Francis, 12 years old, and Emmett, six; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Evans, Atchison, and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Engeman, Atchison.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the Harouff & Buis service chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Hill cemetery.(Src: The Atchison Daily Globe, August 9, 1938.)
