Jennie L. Hogue, 81, of Iberia died Monday, Nov. 23, 31992, at St. Elizabeth Care Center in St. Elizabeth. She was born Jan. 9, 1911, at Zebra to V.A. "Drew" and Annie Belcher Irwin. On Dec. 25, 1929, she was married in Linn Creek to Fred Hogue, who died Aug. 5, 1977.
Mrs. Hogue lived most of her life in Iberia where she was a member of the Congregational Christian Church.
Surviving her are a son, Doyle Hogue of Iberia; a daughter, Erma Denton of Iberia; four brothers, Walter Irwin and Vencil Irwin, both of North Carolina, and Joe Irwin and Clarence Irwin, both of Iberia; a sister, Dora Alexander of Eldon; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Larry Young officiating. Burial was in Livingston Cemetery near Iberia.
