Anna was always a hard working woman. Prior to her move to Mojave she lived in Inyokern and Ridgecrest and worked at Brady's Café as a waitress. She was voted one of the top ten waitresses in Southern California in a poll by the LA Times in the early 50s. She was a cook and server at Mojave Unified School District Cafeteria. She also cashiered for Whites Cafe two nights a week while working days so she could afford to take her family on summer trips to Ohio.
Anna loved socializing, food, family and friends. Once you entered her kitchen, you were part of the family. She also loved to quilt, and was known for her talent and skill as a quilter. Every year Annie contributed a quilt to the Ladies of St Francis for their annual fund raiser. Anna was actively involved in her church throughout her life. She faithfully led the Rosary for Sunday and weekday masses. For many years she facilitated St. Francis Bingo games and called Bingo every Tuesday night. Many a parishioner heard her say "O clickity click", for O66, with a smile.
Anna is survived by her two daughters: Carol Flores and Alice Allersmeyer; her grandchildren: Ann (Ruben) Badillo, Catherine (Chris) Mustain, Adam Kelly and Eric Kelly and great-grandchild Marcos Badillo. Other surviving family includes her brothers and sisters: Marie Ernst, John Schweller, Henry (Janette) Schweller, Frances (Donald) Grothouse, and Donald (Jeanie) Schweller; Sister-in-Law Jane Schweller; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Anna was predeceased by husband Harold Allersmeyer, son Albert Allersmeyer, parents Julian and Regina Schweller, and brothers Walter and Charles Schweller.
