BIRMINGHAM-Glen Giberson, 93, of Birmingham died at 3:40 Monday, February 17, 1992 at ,Jefferson County Hospital.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Burch-Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham with the Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Glasgow Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials have be established to Glasgow Cemetery and the Birmingham Fire Department. Giberson was born Oct 13, 1898, near Stockport the son of Lafayette and Ila Turnum Giberson. He grew up in Stockport and attended rural Stockport schools. He farmed in Jefferson County all of his adult life and had lived in Birmington since 1964. He was a former member of the Birmingham Lions club. He married Meda Carter on December 22, 1926 at First Christian Church parsonage in Fairfield.
Surviving are his wife, two sons Bob of Stockport, John of Mount Pleasant, daughter Dorthy Humphrey of Burlington; 10 grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren a brother Lloyd Stockport and a sister Bonnie Leeper of Plymouth. Six brothers, Elza, Harley, Frank, Jim, Irvin and Claude and two sisters, Florence Grie, one in infancy preceded him in death.
