Genevieve never married. She worked for many years as a housekeeper for private families. She loved children and animals. She took advantage of time off to travel. In addition to trips throughout the U.S. including Alaska and Hawaii, she went on a safari in Africa, made several trips to Europe, visited the Scandanavian countries, the Carribean, and went through the Panama Canal. Her last "big" trip in 1978 was to Indonesia.
