Regina F. Thomson passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012 in Greenwood, Arkansas. She was born January 24, 1921 in Paris, Arkansas to the late James T. "Jim" Kimberling and Susie Jane (Eoff) Kimberling. She was 91 years old.

Regina was a long-time member and supporter of Hopewell Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. She was a loving mother and homemaker who put the needs of others ahead of her own.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde E. Thomson; her daughter, Sandra; three sisters, Irene, Mary and Wanda; and four brothers, Orvel, Woodrow, Olan, and Roscoe.

Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 25th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m., with Rev. Ernie Aldridge officiating. Services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

A second service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 29th at Osborn Funeral Home Chapel in Dix, Illinois, with Rev. David Bateman and Rev. Nealy Brown officiating. Burial will be at Wolf Prairie Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, under the direction of Osborn Funeral Home in Dix, Illinois.

She is survived by one son, Larry Thomson and wife Pat of Charleston, Arkansas; one brother, Mackie Kimberling and wife Pat of Bend, Oregon; sister-in-law, Hazel Riley of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; one grandson, Michael Thomson of Omaha, Nebraska and one granddaughter, Deborah Welicky of Alpharetta, Georgia; four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
