TWO PAWNEE COUNTY MEN ARE KILLED
Larned - Two Pawnee County families received notifications within 48 hours of their two sons in the army, both killed in action in France the same day, Dec. 12.
They were T-5 Earl Marley, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Marley, of Larned and Pvt. Keith Blackburn, son of Mr. and Mrs. P. S. Blackburn, of Rozel. Both were in infantry regiments.
The same day Mrs. Elizabeth Huck, of Larned, was notified her son, Sgt. Leo Huck, was wounded while serving with the First army in France.
