SOPHIA M. FRANCIS, 81, of Riverdale died Monday. She was a member of the Woman's Club and was a former president of the Firemans Auxiliary, both of Riverdale. Surviving are her husband, Charles E.; three sons, Fred of Vernon, William of Blairstown, and Charles of Summit; a sister, Florence Ferris of Castro Valley, Calif., and three grandchildren. Services will be Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Richards Funeral Home, Riverdale. Donations to the Riverdale Library Memorial Fund would be appreciated.
