Willis Edward Knight, 65, died Jan. 12, 1992 at the Converse County Memorial Hospital following a short illness. He was the son of Ephriam Milton and Nellie Grace (Bartlett) Knight. His mother died when he was a young boy, and he lived with his father on their homestead north of Douglas in the Ross area where he attended school. In early 1940 his father sold the homestead and they moved to Glenrock where he finished his eudcation. He moved to Douglas in 1950 and worked for the City of Douglas for 16 years, then worked for Douglas Dairy and the Converse Country Memorial Hospital for several years. He was married to Darlean Barnes on Oct. 27, 1957 in Douglas. He owned and operated Knight's Radio and TV Repair for three years. In July 1982 he went on kidney dialysis, and was forced into retirement. He is survived by his wife, Darlean, of Douglas; one son and his wife, Milton Edward Knight and Jackie Mae of Douglas; three granddaughters, Christy Leigh Knight, Nicole Patricia Knight, and Elizabeth Mae Knight all of Douglas; and one great-grandson, Willis Monroe Knight of Douglas.
