Norma J. Barnes, 81, passed away Monday, August 22, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Jasper. She was born March 31, 1930 in Mt. Vernon, Indiana to Louis and Teola (Chambers) Key. She retired from Voyles IGA in Petersburg, and she was a member of Winslow Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Barnes, Two sons Richard (Nancy) and Donald (Cathy) all of Winslow; daughter Tammy (Michael) Hartman of Evansville, sisters Diane (Rick) Besing of Evansville, Judy (Marvin) Brown of Mt. Vernon, Susan (Dennis) Dillon of Hollister, California , Jean (Bob) Goff of Evansville, and Karen Kissell of San Jose, California. Brothers Brian (Mary) Chambers of Rock Hill, South Carolina; Warren (Mary) Chambers of Evansville; Steve (Linda) Chambers of Holland, Ind.; Louis "Sonny" (Ann) Key and Jim (Carolyn) Key all of Mt. Vernon. 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg with burial and graveside services at Blacks Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.
