JAMES D SMITH of Orlando, FL. Jim was raised in Reno, NV. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and while stationed in New Orleans, he married Peg, his wife of 59 years. Jim attended John McCrady Art School in New Orleans and worked as a Technical Illustrator. He retired in 1997 from the Naval Warfare Center in Orlando as a Visual Information Specialist. Surviving are his wife, Peg; children, Kevin (Terri) and Kim (Ron); grandchildren, Lindsay, Colin, Ryan and Jordyn and sister, Marge Sivenson of Provo, UT. Funeral services will be February 21, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Pine Castle, FL. Arrangements are by Baldwin Fairchild Pine Castle Chapel in Orlando, FL. Published in the Orlando Sentinel on February 19, 2012.
