She was born on Dec. 20, 1928, in Mansfield, Ohio, the daughter of Walter and Verona (Biege) Christoph. On Oct. 26, 1946, in Fort Wayne, she married Charles R. Fear Jr., and he survives.
Mrs. Fear had worked for many years in the cafeteria for Rochester Community Schools. She also worked with her husband at Charles Fear and Sons Implement, sold Avon for more than 30 years and had worked in the Fulton County Clerk's and Treasurer's offices.
She had been a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Eastern Star and Fulton County Democrat Women's Club, treasurer for Fulton County Democrat Central Committee and a former member of Reiter Club. She was an avid animal lover, especially dogs, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Charles R. Fear Jr., Kewanna; children, Ross and wife, Bonnie Fear, Akron, Lynn Woosley, Surprise, Ariz., Stephen Fear, Rochester, and Larry J. Fear, Rossville; grandchildren, Kris Fear, Akron, Kerry Fear, Akron, Brenda and husband, Tom Ras, St. Louis, Mo., Beth Good, Rochester, Nesha and husband, Tracy Skarbek, Rochester, Rena and husband, Cory Markstahler, North Manchester, Barak and wife, Jenifer Chandler, Macy, and Lyn and husband, Nick Shoemaker, Fort Wayne; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marvelene Stacy, North Manchester, and Betty and husband, Chuck Freestone, New Carlisle; brothers, Lloyd and wife, Charlene Christoph, Chicago, and Dewey Christoph, Madison, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Tamera Lynn Hartle; brother, Ted Christoph; and her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Buck Padilla officiating.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester
