Helen Irene Mooney Connors 1920-2012 Helen Irene Mooney Connors, born September 3, 1920, from Huntington Estates, Tallahassee, Fla., passed away on January 8, 2012. She was formerly from Lenox Dale, Her parents, her husband George E. Connors of Lenox Dale, her brother William Mooney of Lenox, and her sister, M. Alma Tyer of Pittsfield preceded her in death. She brought love and laughter into so many lives and was proud to be Irish and Catholic. Helen graduated from Lenox High School and Baypath College. Through her career she worked at General Electric, Kimberly Clark in Lee, and Riseberg's Clothing Store in Pittsfield. Upon retirement in 1983, she and George moved to Tallahassee, Fla., to live with her daughter, Dr. Neila A. Connors (Bradley C. Buysse) and many four-legged friends. She is survived by her daughter and Brad; a brother, Thomas Mooney of Richmond, sisters-in-law, Claire Mooney from Lenox and Ethel Connors from Pittsfield; a devoted grandson, Sean Connors (Sarah Ray) with two beautiful granddaughters, Caroline Elizabeth and Anna Kate; a son, Michael (Margaret); a granddaughter Catherine (Alan); and many other wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A beautiful memorial service was held in Tallahassee on Monday, January 30th. An additional service with interment will occur in Lenox Dale at a later date in the summer. The Independent Funeral Home, Quincy, Florida, made arrangements. Neila and Brad would like to thank everyone for the flowers, donations, cards, and condolences. Helen was the light of their lives and leaves so many fabulous memories. She is finally dancing with the stars.
