He was dismissed from the Deep River Friends Meeting on March 7, 1791 for marriage out of unity as documented in Volume I of "The Encyclopedia of American Quaker Genealogy" by William Wade Hinshaw, p. 796. According to his presumed son, George A. Adams, as documented in "The Biographical Review of Johnson, Massac, Pope and Hardin Counties" published 1893 by Biographical Publishing Co., pages 406-407, his wife was Elizabeth Horn and they lived on the River Adkin and were both buried at the Quaker Meeting House.
Moses Adams' died intestate, but probate was filed in July 1854 by John & William Adams in Yadkin County. His son, John Adams, inherited the estate.
