Rebecca J. Ingram Alcorn, age 84, died Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Lucy Brewer Ingram and the widow of John B. Alcorn. Mrs. Alcorn was a member of the Cartersville Holiness Church.

She is survived by: her daughters, Connie (Larry) Lewis, Patsy (Darrell) Isaacs, Wilma Hensley; her sons, John Wayne (Clydia) Alcorn, Donald (Bonnie) Alcorn, Bruce (Karlene) Alcorn, all of Madison County; her brothers, Roy (Lucy) Ingram and Buck (Carol) Ingram of Berea, George (Eva) Ingram of Carrollton, Ky.; her grandchildren, Duane Crabtree, Bridget Croucher, Shannon, Shane and Tonya Alcorn, Tosha Sparks, Waylon Isaacs, Alesha Robinson, Carrie Bader, great grandchildren, Veronica , Amber and Brandon Crabtree, Kelly and Brittney Hensley, Alexis Alcorn, Erica, Chris and Jay Croucher, Skylar and Bailey Sparks and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her daughter, Betty Gullette, grandson, Virgil Wayne Hensley, sisters, Louise Cairell, Mary Adams, Maggie Shearer, niece, Joyce Adams, nephew, Clifford Ingram.

Funeral services for Mrs. Alcorn will be 12:00 noon Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at the Lighthouse Baptist Church with Bro. Roy Himes and Bro. Clyde Coffey officiating. Burial will be in the Berea Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church with open church service starting at 7:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Duane Crabtree, Waylon Isaacs, Shane Alcorn, Larry Lewis, Chris Croucher and Ricky Gabbard. Davis & Powell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
