She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Hoxie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Pearl Herriott Garrett; husband, John Adams, to whom she was wed on June 17, 1944 by C.C. Huskey; infant sisters, Thelma and Gracie; sister, Bonnie Smith; brothers, Luther Garrett, Vester Garrett and Elmo Garrett.
She is survived by daughters, Mary Adams and Carmen Stayton both of Walnut Ridge, Eyvonne Burke of Cave City, Jeannie King and Tonia Goad both of Jonesboro; son, Johnnie Adams of Hoxie; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 12 – 1:00 p.m. in the House Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge. Graveside services will follow in Dry Creek Cemetery near Lynn.
