Harold F. Ray, Sr. 65, of Brazil, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at Regional Hospital.

He was born on September 25, 1940, in Indianapolis, the son of of Betty Phillips Ray and Francis "Ennis" Ray. He married Delores Muncie Ray on July 31, 1959. He was a member of the Door Christian Fellowship Church and enjoyed spending time outdoors, mushroom hunting, wood carving and fishing. In his life-time he worked at Adamsons sawmill, Old Glory Flag Co. and for the City of Brazil and Clay County trimming trees and doing street and road work before becoming disabled.

He was preceded in death by his father, one sister Sandra Ray, Stepfather Richard Archer and father in law, Owen Muncie.

He is survived by his mother Betty Archer; Wife, Delores, Mother-in-law Mary Muncie, all of Brazil. He is also survived by his children, Harold Ray, Jr. and wife Kim, Russell Ray and wife Cheryl, James Ray and wife Richelle, Patricia Head and husband Cliff all of Brazil. Also surviving him are his grandchildren, James Ray Jr., Sarah Robertson and husband Troy, Robert Ray, Harold Jeffery Ray, Rusty Ray, Jennifer Ray, Chris Hill and wife Jeannetta, J.J. Lawhorn, Morgan Peebles, and Taylor Peebles; 7 great-grandchildren Mashayne Ray Roberts, Elijah Robertson, Rilie Ray, Evan James, Kirstin Hill, James Hill, and Brayden Lawhorn. Survivors also include brother in laws; Owen Muncie and wife Erma and Ronald Muncie; sisters –in-laws; Bertha Head, Marilyn Graverson and husband Tom, Euncie Morgan and husband Al, Dixie Raab and Debra Muncie. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, friends and a large extended family.


Funeral Information
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 2:00pm at Calcutta Cemetery with Pastor Tom Roeschlein officiating. French Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
