Vercile Sadberry-Miller was the youngest of 13 children born to John and Eliza Sadberry. She attended the Dorsey Laughridge School, Kemp High School and Blackshear High School, where she was the salutatorian of the Class of 1953. She attended Wiley College and graduated from Huston-Tilloston University in 1957 with a Bachelor's degree of Business Education and was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and worked in various positions related to finance and banking. Vercile united in holy matrimony with Lloyd Miller in 1959 and to this union, three children were born to which she leaves to cherish her memories to daughter, Cynthia Renee Dixon; sons, Larry R. Miller and Marc Anthony Miller and her husband of 45 years, Lloyd Miller; 5 grandchildren; three sisters: Kathryn (Clifton) McGee, Imogene Charles and Rubye Sadberry. An Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority service will be held at the Lewis Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at 6:00PM. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at the Mount Zion First Baptist Church, 333 Martin Luther King Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78203 at 11:00AM with Rev. Claude King officiating. Graveside services to follow at the Meadowlawn Memorial Park in San Antonio, Texas.
