Zechariah Clawson Lacey and Phoebe Force were married 24 Dec 1820 in Morris Co., NJ. They had ten children, four of whom died young, including: Joseph, Harriet, Sarah M., Mahlon S., Jacob C., John, and Phoebe Elizabeth.

Served in the Civil War and was discharged for disability at Ironton, MO.

This is the last of the photos. I decided to take the chalk and then rub it in to the stone with my hands. I began to have some better results from doing it this way. I am most happy with the results from these last two pictures.

The headstone after the wet soil was cleaned off and as you can see is starting to dry out.

Zechariah's headstone taken immediately after Bosco lifted it up and it was steadied.

After many years without maintenance and care, Zechariah Clawson Lacy's stone had slowly sank into the soil and fallen over. Luckily by the grace of God there was no damage or breaks to the stone. I contacted Zechariah's great great great grandson Kevin Lynn Knoles (otherwise known as "Bosco") We went to the cemetery and rescued the stone and sat it back upright. Bosco wanted to make sure that it would not fall back over again creating a base for it to sit on top of out of sand.
