Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday for Irvin R. (Harry) Heckman, in the Olson-Reiser Portage Chapel, 10725 Central avenue, Portage.
Heckman, 69, died Saturday in his home at RFD 2, Hobart, following a brief illness. A retired employe of the Hobart street department, he was a former resident of Ross township in the Hobart area for 12 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary E.; three daughters: Mrs. Grace I.(Melvin) Kleckner, Hobart; Mrs. Mary A.(Rich) Rebeck, East Gary; Peggy J., at home; five sons: Eldon E.,(Shirley) of Hobart; Chester D.,(Judy) of Portage; Richard A., East Gary; Charles E. and Howard L., both at home; one brother, Chester, of Huntington, Ind.; and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services at the Olson-Reiser Chapel in Portage will be conducted by the Rev. Ariel Brady. Burial will be in Elmood Cemetary, Hammond. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today until the time of the services.
