O. Irene Scherer, 83, passed away Oct. 24, 1998, after a long illness.
She was born March 18, 1915, in Summerville, Pa., to Eusphrastus and Isadora Carrier.
She owned Rainbow Beauty Salon at the Tallmadge Circle in the 1930s, became a homemaker, and raised 12 children. She was a member of the Community Baptist Church of Tallmadge.
She was preceded in death by her 10 sisters and brothers, one grandchild, and a daughter and son-in-law.
She is survived by her husband Clifford M. Sr.; 12 children, 28 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She loved life and family and her hope for the world to find the Lord.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hennessy-Bagnoli Funeral Home, 339 Southwest Ave., Tallmadge, with Dr. Edward Peirce officiating.
Interment at Tallmadge Cemetery.
