Services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday in Bell Avenue Chapel of Schooler-Gordon Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St., with the Rev. Glen Adams of Parkview Christian Church and Rev. Darrell Feemster of New Covenant Church in Lampasas officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. in Fairview Cemetery at Wellington with the Rev. Feemster officiating.
Mrs. Brown was born in Wellington and graduated from Wellington High School in 1937. She had lived in Amarillo for 43 years. She married Johnny Virgil Brown in 1946 at Amarillo. He died in 1973. She packed parachutes at Childress Air Force Base during World War II. She received the "Seven Who Care" Award in 1985. She was a homemaker and a Methodist.
Survivors include two sons, Stanton Guy Trimble of Cactus and Stanford John Brown of Wichita Falls; a daughter, Theresa Maxine Holik of Amarillo; two sisters, Juanita McNabb of Clifton and Ruby Bearden of Wellington; and one grandchild.
The family will be at 3609 S. Jackson St., and suggests memorials to Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson St., Amarillo, Texas 79101; Jan Werner Adult Day Care Center, 3108 S. Fillmore St., Amarillo, Texas 79110; or Make-A-Wish Foundation, 2324 Lakeview Drive, Amarillo, Texas 79109.
