ELIZABETH WELCH b. Rehoboth 27 Sept. 1688, d. Killingly CT 16 Nov. 1730. She m. prob. bef. 1710 DANIEL LAWRENCE, b. Natick MA 1686, d. Killingly CT 8 April 1747; son of John Lawrence. He m. by 1732 Mercy or Marcy (______), by whom he had four children: Marcy, John, Elihu, and Asa, not Billington descendants. Daniel Lawrence of Killingly CT, in his will of 2 July 1743, exhibited 8 May 1747, gave dower of thirds to wife Marcy; to four older sons Daniel Lawrence, Joseph Lawrence, James Lawrence and Samuel Lawrence, one pound each, with what they had already received; to daus. Mary Covel and Esther Ballard, five pounds apiece with what they had received; to dau. Abigail Lawrence thirty pounds; to dau. Marcy Lawrence thirty pounds at age 21 or at marriage; to sons John, Elihu and Asa Lawrence, "all housing and lands that I now live on," when they are of age. The executors were wife Marcy and son Joseph, they to "take good care and bring up my young children."
