He was a wonderful cook, gardener, uncle, brother, son, and friend.
He was also one of the boldest Christians I've ever known, who taught me so much about what all that was about, and how to stand up for what you believe, even at the risk of being the only one. Even as children, he taught me that by example, and that lesson has never left me.
I'll always remember his hugs, his beautiful smile, his gorgeous pale green eyes, his unique, and very dry sense of humor, and all the wonderful times we had together. Those of us who really new him were blessed to have done so. He was a very beautiful person and one whom I'll never forget.
As it says on his tombstone, "At peace in Gods arms" It hurts to know I'll never hold him in mine again, but I know that's where he is. And that gives me peace as well.
