His obit states he was buried in Montrose Cemetery in Greenville.

In 1869 he emigrated to America with his wife Margaret, who he married in Switzerland in 1862, and one child, they locating near Highland IL., were he took up farming. In 1886 the family moved to Greenville IL., where he dealt in livestock to a considerable extent.
Five children were born to this union, of whom two sons preceded him in death.
A son Christian Janett was born on 20 Sept 1873 and christened on 3 July 1874, information from the Highland EUC Church records.
His second marriage was to Martha nee Meyer Gubser on 11 Aug 1908 at Springfield IL. One year later, 12 April 1910, while they were touring Switzerland she died.
No children were born to this union.
His third marriage was to Mrs. Cecilia Stoeffel, who returned with him from Switzerland in 1910, and he married in 1911 in Highland IL. and since resided there.
