George E. Fiedler, 77, of Oak Grove Township, Prescott, died suddenly Tuesday, March 27, 1984, at the Regina Memorial Hospital in Hastings, Mn.

Born June 15, 1906 in Clifton Township, he was the son of Edward and Anna Fiedler. He married Wilma Detert, August 28, 1930. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ all his life. He was confirmed May 30, 1920. He served on the Church Council for many years. He farmed in Oak Grove Township all his life.

He is survived by his wife Wilma, three sons, Donald of Cottage Grove, MN., Robert and Roland both of Prescott, WI; one daughter, Mrs. Eldon (Arlene) Kleckner of Ellsworth; 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; one brother, Melvin of Prescott, WI. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services were held on Friday, March 30, at St. John's U.C.C., Oak Grove Township, with Rev. Jeff Aderman and Rev. Susan Stull officiating. Visitation was at the Winberg-McLaughlin Funeral Home in Prescott. Burial was in the a Pine Glen Cemetery, Prescott.
