Melvin H. Fiedler, age 73, died October 23, 1984 at the Hudson Memorial Hospital. He was born Oct. 20, 1911 in Clifton Township, the son of Edward and Anna Fiedler. He was instructed in the Christian Faith.
On June 18, 1936, he married Marcella Meier and to union were born two sons, Gerald and Roger. He farmed most of his life and was a life-long member of St. John's Church, Oak Grove.
Melvin Fiedler is survived by his wife, Marcella, two sons, Gerald of Grantsburg, Wis., and Roger of Prescott; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. at St. John's U.C.C. Oak Grove, with Pastors Jeff Aderman and Sue Stull officiating. Pallbearers were nephews: Ed Fiedler, Tom Fiedler, Donald Fiedler, Robert Fiedler, Ronald Fiedler and Hilton Fiedler. Burial was in Pine Glen Cemetery. Cashman Funeral Home, River Falls, was in charge of the arrangements.
