Funeral services are today (Wednesday, June 11) from the United Methodist Church, River Falls at 1:30 p.m. with Dr. Donald G. Stannard officiating. Interment will be in Pine Glen Cemetery, Prescott. Cashman Mortuary, River Falls, was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Fiedler was born September 29, 1916 in Morrison, Illinois, a daughter of John Henry and Verra Martha (Harvey) Timmerman.
She was married to Harvey Raymond Fiedler on August 17, 1938 and spent her married life on their farm in Clifton Township until moving to River Falls in 1980. She was a lifelong educator, the last 23 years with the Prescott school system.
Joy Fiedler is survived by two sons, Edward John Fiedler and Paula of Rt. 1, Prescott, and Thomas Harvey Fiedler and Monika of Eau Claire. Grandchildren surviving are Lee, Michael, Mathew, Kristin, Emily, Adam, Greta and Kristina.
She is survived by brothers Lawrence Timmerman and wife of Powell Butte, Oregon, and George Timmerman and Eleanor of River Falls; and sisters Gladys Peters and Charles of River Falls and Donna Morrow and DeForrest of River Falls, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Harvey, who died in 1978.
