Mrs. Hattie Fiedler Buried Saturday

Henrietta Caroline Fiedler, the daughter of John and Charlotte Heckel, was born July 26, 1864, at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She passed away Wednesday evening, January 31, reaching the age of 80 years, 6 months and 5 days. Before she was two years of age the family moved from Milwaukee to the town of Oak Grove where she has since made her home.

On May 6, 1877, she was confirmed with a class of ten under the instruction of Rev. Moritz. She has always been an ardent and faithful member of St. John's church. On July 25, 1888, she was united in marriage to Otto Fiedler of Oak Grove. To this union one son Clarence, was born. Her husband preceded her in death, passing away on April 19, 1924.

During the past five years Mrs. Fiedler's health gradually filed and Tuesday noon she became seriously ill, passing away Wednesday evening. Death was due to a heart attack.

During her life Mrs. Fiedler had made friends with whomever she became acquainted. She was a kind and loving mother, a good neighbor and a true friend. She was ever faithful to her church and never faltered when someone was in need. Her passing is a loss not only to her family and friend but the community as well.

Mrs. Fiedler is survived by her son, Clarence, with whom she has made her home, and five grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends.

The funeral was held from the home at 1:30 and from St. John's church, Oak Grove, at 2:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon. The remains were laid to rest in the family lot in Pine Glen cemetery. Rev. Geo. Bartell had charge of the services.
