Bryan Everitt Jackson was born on January 21, 1984 as the eldest born of three children. He attended Texas public schools in Houston, Waller, Hearne and Kennard. Bryan was a 2002 graduate of Bryan High School in Bryan, Texas. He was currently enrolled at Prairie View A&M University majoring in Civil and Architectural Engineering with a minor in Education. All of his life, Bryan had an active Christian faith. Bryan was baptized at the age of two years old, by the late Rev. Thomas Johnson at the Bailey Chapel Church of God in Christ in Waller, Texas. He was a member of the St. Matthew's Baptist Church of College Station, Texas and presently under the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas. Bryan will be remembered for his witty, loving and caring personality and his big "Kool-Aid" smile. In high school, Bryan was a member of the African American Awareness Club, Student Council, Jr., National Society of Black Engineers, Gospel Choir, Teen Leadership, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, track and football programs. Bryan participated in the Student Transportation Institute at Prairie View A&M. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Herman Jackson, Rayford Simon, and Mary Simon (great-grandmother). He leaves to mourn, his mother: Evelyn "Eve" Jackson-Wallace; a loving sister, Bria Jackson; a loving brother, Jonathan "J.R." Wallace, Jr., all of Bryan; a grandmother, Rose Simon of Waller; his aunts, Cynthia Jackson of Hockley; Paula Porter, Valerie Burton (Willie)of Waller and Carmella "Dee Dee" Stevens (William Charles) of Houston; his uncles, Christopher Jackson (Sandra) of Hockley, Alan Simon, Wilford Simon of Waller and Cedric Simon (Dorothy)of Fort Worth and Warren Simon (Tina) of Houston and a host of cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2004 at the Bailey Chapel Church of God in Christ at 1:00 PM, located at 3004 Sledge Street-Waller, Texas 77484 with Pastor Alan Abney officiating and Rev. Craig Anderson of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Bryan, TX as the eulogist. Interment to be held at the Hockley Community Cemetery in Hockley, Texas.
