Clyde A. Schnepp, age 72, of Lafayette, died at 12:55 a.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2012, at Rosewalk Village Healthcare. Born July 26, 1939, in Monticello, IN, he was the son of the late John and Dorothy Bybee Schnepp.

Clyde married Brenda Schnepp and she preceded him in death. He married Patricia Buckles McConahay on September 18, 1982, in Lafayette, and she survives. He worked for Alloy Rods in Monticello for 17 years and most recently as a service worker at Shreve Hall at Purdue University for 20 years before retiring in 2005. Mr. Schnepp attended St. Lawrence Catholic Church with his wife, Pat. He enjoyed watching and feeding the birds and squirrels in his yard.

Surviving with his wife are a stepson, Steven McConahay and a stepdaughter, Jeanna Akridge (husband, Doug) both of Lafayette. Also surviving are 6 stepgrandchildren, Melissa, Katie, Kayla, Rachel, Ashley and Douglas and several stepgreat-grandchildren.

Visitation from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Father Matthew Arbuckle officiating. Burial to follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park. The family requests memorial contributions be sent to the Almost Home Humane Society. Hippensteel Funeral Home entrusted with care.
