A memorial service will be held at a later date. Born November 16, 1908 in Jackson, Michigan, she was the daughter of Edward W. and Anna (Rushman) Busch. She married George W. Swope July 3, 1928 in Jackson; he preceded her in death on April 16, 1987. She is survived by two daughters, Beverly (Willard) Hoofnagle of Trinity, Texas and Dolores Besier of Monroe; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Monroe. The family would like to thank the staff of Heartland Hospice for the care and support that they provided. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Shirley Swope, a sister, Bernadine Weidenfeller and a brother, Howard Bush.
