Nicole was a student at Colleton County High School (formerly Walterboro HS) and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, and was very active with the Happy Days and Special Times Group in Charleston.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are a brother, Jason Rogers; paternal grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Rogers of Indiana; and maternal grandparents, Robert and Sandra Hogan of Arkansas.
