Frances Jean (Turner) Daniels, 86, died at 7:59 a.m, Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Mt. Gilead Shelter Care in Carrollton.
She was born in Kane on September 5, 1931, one four children born to Everett and Mabel (Reynolds) Turner.
She grew up in Kane, and attended the three year Kane High School, and graduated in 1949 from Carrollton Community High School. After her graduation, she worked at the International Shoe Factory in Jerseyville for a short time until her marriage to John Franklin Daniels.
The two married on August 26, 1950 at the Kane Baptist Church, and soon relocated to Peoria, where he had gained employment with Catepillar. They were only in Peoria for a few years before they moved back to Kane, where they would remain and raise their family. She and John shared 54 years of marriage prior to his death on Dec. 27, 2004.
Surviving are two daughters and sons in-laws, Kathy and Bob Wock of Jerseyville and Carla and Kenneth Wise of Roodhouse; Six Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren; 4 Great Great Grandchildren; a brother and sister in-law, Delos "Buzz" and Joyce Turner of Edwardsville; and a sister in-law, Eloise Turner of Carlinville.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jon Jeffrey Daniels on Sept. 17, 1972; and two brothers, James Turner and Joseph Turner.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, May 14, 2018 at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Kane Baptist Church with the Rev. Chuck Keene officiating.
Burial will be in the Kane Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Kane Baptist Church, where she has been a longtime member.
