He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marian Womack Brooks; three children, Ted L. Brooks, Kenneth W. Brooks and Cathy B. Mason and her husband, Robert; two grandchildren, Scott Brooks and Megan Brooks.
He retired from Verizon after 44 years of service in the Engineering Department. He was a devoted member of River Road Church Baptist. He also volunteered many hours to the Va. Department of the Visually Handicapped.
Services will be held at River Road Church Baptist in the Chapel, 8000 River Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229 on Friday, February 3, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to River Road Church Baptist, or to Medi Home Health and Hospice, 8100 Three Chopt Road Suite 226, Richmond, Va. 23229, to whom the family is greatly indebted.
Burial to be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
