William J. Schreiber, 82, passed away at his home on Eastern avenue, just outside the city limits of Plymouth, at 7 a.m., today. He had been ill for the past six weeks.

He was born Jan. 18, 1871, in Germany, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius Schreiber. He came to the United States in 1882 settling in Manitowoc. He came to Sheboygan county in 1895.

On March 23, 1895, he was married to Miss Emma Rautmann at the Saron Reformed Church, town of Sheboygan Falls. They resided on a farm in that township until 1919 when they moved to the town of Plymouth. Since moving to Plymouth he has been employed as a carpenter.

He was a member of the Salem Evangelical and Reformed Church of Plymouth.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Elwood (Irma) Fiedler, town of Sheboygan Falls; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. One daughter, Else, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, at the Wittkopp Funeral home, Plymouth.

The Rev. Harold Ley, pastor of the Salem Evangelical and Reformed Church, will officate and burial will be made in the Salem Reformed Church cemetery, town of Sheboygan Falls.

The body will lie in state at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Friday, until the hour of services on Saturday.
