Clift High School, Opelika, AL, Class of 1951; played for the Opelika Owls baseball team; The Opelika Owls were a Minor League Baseball team that represented Opelika, Alabama in the Georgia–Alabama League from 1946 to 1951.

When he went into the Service (Air Force), he started spelling his last name the way it was on his birth certificate, "Brittian".

Graduated Clift High School in Opelika, AL in 1951, "Franklin Brittain". Clift High School 1951 year book, "The World knows only two, that's Rome and I".

He lived in Pike Road, Montgomery County, AL before moving back to Opelika.

Graveside service will be held on Monday, Jan. 23, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery, AL.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethany House, Auburn, AL.
