On 2 November 1919, she married Raymond Sylvanus Wright, the son of James Albert and Ida Isadore White Wright. The couple had one son, James.
They moved to Carnegie, PA, where Ray worked with the Bell Telephone Co.. They then moved back to Ohio and purchased a hardware store in Canton.
Sylvia and Ray eventually moved south to Florida, where Ray died in 1969. Sylvia outlived him by 12 years.
